Robotic Prostate Removal

Once being diagnosed, I mean I’m probably like everybody else. Couple things came to mind. One was, you know, there’s a lot of loved ones that I have that surround me that I was concerned about that would have liked to keep me around a couple years. I think, the second thing was if I am indeed gonna get this treatment done I wanted to make sure that I did the background work to make sure that I found the best doctor . The best procedure available to knock this thing out. I visited with four urologist All of which I sat down with eyeball to eyeball and visited with them about you know, what type of procedure they felt was the best for me and visited with them about the pros and cons of the surgery, the follow up etc. By far Dr. Miller was, as far as I’m concerned , the best doctor I sat down with. I felt like he was a pioneer in the industry, I thought he was one of the first doctors to do laparoscopic surgery removal of the prostate. He was one of the first doctors t do the robotic surgery and in Georgia he was very much a pioneer in the industry. Many of the other doctors that I spoke with have had high regards for Dr. Miller and some of which have done some training classes where Dr. Miller was teaching them about the robotic procedure.

So the recovery time was fantastic, and within that two week timeframe. I was back at work one hundred percent. So follow up visits were pretty easy. We continued to do blood work ups as scheduled and all of those have been negative thank goodness. But the post op stuff was, you know, that first week there’s some discomfort and things, like any other type of surgery I think you’d have similar type of discomfort. But once getting past that you know it was always slow steps moving forward. And after getting past maybe the first thirty days I felt like I made great strides as the recovery time took place. Dr. Miller has skills and abilities that have been just unbelievable as far as I’m concerned. The foresight that he’s has or had to do what he’s doing as far as his practice is concerned is just really, really mind boggling and I just feel like that its something he’s been blessed with that males in situations like mine its quite an honor to have and opportunity to visit with Dr. Miller and certainly an honor to have him do the type of surgery that he did. And in my case, you know, I’m going to have hopefully years and years and years of acceptable standard of living because of him.
